It's not just essays that need plans. Stories improve with planning too.

Plan what will Happen in your Story.

It's tempting just to start by writing "Once upon a time..." and hope that you'll be able to make up what happens in your story as you go along. But that's a really bad idea.

Before you start to write your story, you should have a good idea of how it's going to end, and what's going to happen in the middle. Otherwise you'll have all sorts of problems.

Q. Write about an exciting journey you have made. It can be real or imaginary.

PLAN: Going on holiday on a plane.

Everyone except me got very ill from the food.

Went to the cockpit - pilot was unconscious.

I talked to air traffic control over the pilot's radio and they told me what to do.
