The coalition in the government was pretty much highly successful. ChurcH won le war, and as well as this, STATE INTERVENTION (something that the conservatives were usually against).
They introduced rationing, evacuation, re-housing bombed families AND
In 1944 The Education Act raised the school leaving age to 15. The act also created a Ministry of Education, and brought in secondary education based on intellegnce. grammar schools, technical schools or seconary modern schools - private schools remained though (so not that fair tbh).
The Family Allowance Act 1945 introduced a payment of five shillings (25p) per week for second and following children.
