Why had international peace collapse by 1939?

The End of Appeasement - Czechoslovakia, 1939

Appeasement = Giving in to the demands of aggressive powers to avoid war, as long as those demands appear reasonable.  Appeasement is a diplomatic policy aimed at avoiding war by making concessions to an aggressor.

In March 1939, it was proved clear that HItler was not finished with the terriorial attacks..

.. and on March 5th, German troops took over the rest of Czechosovakia.

There was no resistance from the Czechs. Neither did GB or FR do anythign in repsonce to
