why is the US political system favourable to pressure groups in the US?

1) the fragmented political system with the US gives pressure groups multiple access points which can be used to their advantage. with there being 2 houses and a president all individually elected, and with different parties controlling different aspects of each, this is prime ground for pressure groups to intercept individuals and political groups in order to gain support for their cause. it also means that if the pressure groups fail to reach influence at the federal level, they can continue…
