  • kennedy was immediately seen by the world as a victor as he had stood up to the soviets and they had backed down
  • he had also successfully stood up to many of his hard-line military advisor's who wanted to invade Cuba the crisis shows how dangerous some of their ideas were

BUT!

  • he had also agreed to remove the missiles (NATO) from trukey without telling them and they were a tad bit nift
  • cuba still remained in power and a communism threat still remained
  • he had gained many new enemies, was hated by the cuban exiles since castro remained

THE USSR

•  
  • he had prevented US invasion of CUBA and had a guarantee that no further invasion attempts…
