What were Elizabeth's problems when becoming Queen

In the times that Elizabeth wanted to become Queen, it was very diificult for her to become Queen. There were many factors that contributed to this, such as:

Succession- Elizabeth was yet to produce an heir, in the past there had been wars when people were not sure who would become ruler after a monarch's death. In 1562, Elizabeth contracted smallpox and nealy died, this highlighed how uncertain her future was.

Religion- Elizabet's father Henry, had broken away from the Catholic Church in order to obtain a divorce. After Henry's death, Edward had continued to establish England as a Protestant country.
