What is business

Mission of a business is its purpose of intentions. 

Mission = normally qualitative rather than numerical. 

A mission statement communicates to key stakeholders e.g. shareholders/employees what the the organisation is doing and what it ought to be doing

• Business objectives are designed to enable businesses to achieve their aims/ missions.  
• Can be set at corporate level- company wide or at functional- department/regional 
• Corportate objectives govern the objectives set via each department or division of a business. 
• Before setting objectives they must have clear understanding of overall purpose (mission)
• mission of a business wil determine the way it intends to develop and where their objectives need to be focused.
