Towards the south of Newcastle, and mainly around the edges there are high levels of deprivation around 10%. The Eastern Riverside, the City Centre and the East End, are all areas of high deprivation. In the East and West of Newcastle, areas of lower deprivation can be found around 50 to 100%.
