Were Medicine and Public Health better in Roman Britain than Medieval Britain?

Medicine and Public Health were infinitely more advanced in Roman Britain than Medieval Britain. This was because the Roman Empire valued their soldiers so much. 

In Roman Britain, whole towns were built into garrisons to protect and hold the army. Garrison towns were probably the healthiest towbs for the majority of early Britain. 

The Roman government wanted to keep their army healthy, and their merchants and workers fit too, so they built their towns away from marshland or bad water. They also built the ingenius aqueductswhich carried fresh water in from many miles away. This water would be carried in pipes to public water fountains, public latrines, bath houses and sewers. This water system was a huge advancement in publci health beacuse it supplied the public with disease-free water to drink, wash in, and go to the toilet. Now, many people in the towns were living in better health. There was a slight drawback- the water pipes could sometimes be lined with lead, which would eventually cause poisoning. The bath…
