- After the First World War, the Kaiser (King) abdicated.
- A new democratic goverment was established in town of Weimar, February 1919.
- Could not form in capital of Berlin, Sparticists (a group of Communists) revolted and the city was declared unstable and dangerous.
- Weimar government, attempt to create perfect democratic country.
