• Alfred Wegener's theory of continental drift suggested that there once was just one large chunk of land (a super continent)
• He thought that this super continent them split into smaller chunks (continents)
• These continents slowly drifted apart
• And are the continents we have now-North and South America, Africa, Europe, etc
