Churchill's Views

• strongly against remaining uninvolved w/ AH and the crisis in Europe
• rejected idea of trying to prevent war by pressuring Czech's to concede to AH
• objections to pressuring the Czechs to conceding --> assumed that it was possible to have meaningful negotiations w/ AH and dismissed concerns about AH, implied that UK thought LON irrelevant, ruled out collecitve security + morally wrong to hand over independance/freedom of part of another country's territory
• he felt that it was cowardice to give in to aggression
• thoguht that a stand with LON and other nations was necessary and UK weakness encouraged G expansion further
