Water

Water is a polar molecular due to the slightly negatively charged oxygen portion and the slightly positive charegd hydrogen portion of the molecule; overall the molecule has no charge.

When water molecules are in close contact their hydrogen and oxygen portions interact and form hydrogen bonds, individually these are weak but collectively they form a strong lattice framework. The sticking together of water molecules in a strong lattice is called cohesion.
