Yes:

At least Hitler was standing up to communism. Hitler was not the only worry to the West. They were even more concerned with the spread of communism and particularly about the the dangers to world peace posed by Stalin. Many saw Hitler as the buffer zone against communism spreading to the West.

The USA was determined not to be dragged into another war. Britain and her allies didn't want to go to war without the guaranteed support of the USA.Also it was not certain that Britain's empire would give its full support in a war against Germany.
