Velocity and Speed

Speed and velocity are both measured in m/s and they both say how fast you're going.

BUT   Velocity is speed in a given direction

The formula for working out speed or velocity is:

                                                            speed(m/s)=distance(m)/time(secs)

Which can be rearranged into             d=sXt      and        t=d/s
