Theres two types:
Genetic Variation:
- Characteristics determind by the inherited genes of parents.
- Combining genes from two parents causes genetic variation.
- Characteristic caused just by inherited:
- eye colour
- blood group
- inherited disorders
Enviromental Variation:
- The conditions that an organism live or grow in also causes differences between members of the same species.
- For example maximum height of a plant could grow determined by its genes but whether it has enough room to actually grow depends on its enviroment.
Mutations include variation:
- Mutations can result in a new phenotype.
- The enviroment will change and the individual will either be better or less suited to the change.
- These characteristics can spread through a spieces reletively quickly by natural selection.
Evolution:
Theory: All of todays spieces have evolved form…
