The amount of traffic in urban areas is on the increase. This is causing huge problems for these areas, and it's not just in developing countries - the whole world is suffering from traffic growth. As the size of towns and cities grow (we call this urbanisation and urban sprawl), the car ownership also increases, as you would expect. This is because more journeys are made by car.

KEY FACT: 90% of business journeys over 3km are made by car.
