under the waterfall...

in this poem there is a women who is telling a questioner (perhaps child / granddaughter) about how putting her hand in a basin of water in the present tense gives her a recollection of a past scene with her lover beside a waterfall. There they roasted their love and shared a drinking glass. the glass however was lost whilst being rinsed in the stream and lies to this day on a ledge just out of reach.
