The Climate in the UK

This is an essay that I wrote and I achieved an A.

The North West of the UK is affected by the prevailing wind from the South West. When the wind hits the hills and mountains, it will create relief rainfall. This part of the UK is colder because it is further away from the equator. The wind has warm weather as it comes from countries that are tropical and come from nearer the equator. The North West is warmer than the East, because the Gulf Stream runs pass it. Also the temperature is colder because the altitude is higher.

The South West of the UK is affected largely by the prevailing wind because it comes in a South-Westerly direction. The wind brings wet and cold weather as it also creates relief rainfall as the altitude is higher here. The South West…
