Tectonic plate margins are places where plates meet. there are three types:

Destructive/convergent plate boundaries:

Destructive boundaries are where two plates are moving towards each other. Where an oceanic palte meets a contineantal plate, the denser oceanic plate is forced down into the mantle and destroyed (forming a subduction zone). This often created volcanoes and ocean trenches. The edge of the continental plate is folded upwards into a huge mountain range. Intensive folding and bending makes rock in both plates break and slip, causing earthquakes. As the edge of the oceanic plate decenseds into the mantle, some of the rock in it melts and so crust is being destroyed. The melted rock rises up through the continental plate, causing
