LO- Compare the features of asexual and sexual reproduction

The human egg and spem cells ("Gametes") contain 23 chromosones each. When fertilisation happens, the gametes fuse together to make a single cell called a zygote. The zygote has 46 chromosones (23 pairs).

Asexual reproduction

1) Select a healthy plant with the characteristics you want

2) Take a cuting by removing a small branch, leaf or shoot

3) Use rooting hormone to encourage roots to start growth

4) Plant and water the cutting.

-E.G. Bacteria and plants
