    • They are huge storms with strong winds and torrential rain - they have specific conditions which they form under:
      • Tropical storms develop over sea water that is 27°C
      • They happen in late summer and autumn, when the sea temperatures are highest
      • Warm, moist air rises and condensation occurs.  This releases huge amounts of energy, making the storm powerful
