Consistently high temperatures and precipitation create the perfect conditions for plant life. Because it is so hot in the daytime the puddles of water evaporate during the day. They rise up and condense and then fall as rainfall in the afternoon.

Drip tip leaves - leaves have waxy surfaces and pointy ends so excess rain water can run off easily. This prevents algae growing which could block sunlight and stop photosynthesis.
