Trigonometry

Trigonometry allows you to find a side or angle in a right-angled triangle.

Here are the Trig ratios:

Sine - opposite/hypotenuse 
Cosine - adjacent/hypotenuse
Tangent - opposite/adjacent

These can be remembered using: SOHCAHTOA

You need to know which side is which:

Hypotenuse - longest side opposite right angle
Opposite - imagine you are stood behind angle. The side opposite.
Adjacent - other side, touches the angle.
