Trench Warfare during WW1

Condition in the Trenches - 

• rats, trench foot, and lice caused trench fever. 
• 31% of those who served in the army were wounded compared to 3 or 4% of those in the navy or air force. 

Tactics of Trench Warfare - 

• Germans occupied Belgium and Frenc territory which meant the British and French had to launch attacks to try to dislodge the Germans.
