TRANSPLANT SURGERY: THE BASICS
1)The use of organs transplanted from one person to another who needs it.
2)It gives people a lot of hope.
3)Often drugs have to be used to help the process.
4)They can be from living or dead people.
WHY IS TRANSPLANT SURGERY SO IMPORTANT?
1)It is a proven way of curing diseases and helping people.
2)It could save thousands of lives if we donated more.
3)The number of people needing transplants goes up by 8% each year.
4)Its a way of giving life from death - when you die you can help others.
5)It is the same pioneering methods which help cure diseases.
WHAT DO CHRISTIANS THINK ABOUT IT?
Most agree because:
a)Some say the body is not needed after death and so can help the living.
b)Belief in the resurrection and the body does not need physical organs.
c)Its a way of loving your neighbour.
d)Treat others the way you want to be treated.
