COPPER

  • Copper is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity and it is also resistant to corrosion. It is also used to make brasses and bronzes. 

IRON

  • Iron is used to make steels which are used for constructing bridges, buildings, cars, chemical plant and many everday articles (e.g. screws and nails).

CHROMIUM

  • It is a hard metal that resists corrosion. 
  • It is used as a decorative and functional coating that protects steel from rusting. 
  • Chromium is also a major constituent in stainless steel. 

ALUMINIUM

  • It is a great conductor of electricity and is used in electric cables.
  • It is strong and has low density
