To what extent was the GDR transformed under communism?

Political changes- communists flew in from moscow, SED established, largest party, one party state, similar to the Nazis and Weimar, Landerkammer, Volkskammer, president and chancellor, Lander split up into Bezerkam smaller individual units, power behind SED is the Russians, Stasi- secret police, spied on people, kept their scents in jars, much bigger than the Gestapo, Democratic Centralism.

Economic changes- East German mark, due to west germanys deutchmark, focus on quantity not quality, not consumer driven…
