Charles Darwin

Darwin's theory is that only the animal most suited to their environment will survive and then therefore only their genes will be passed on. It is called 'survival of the fittest'. Darwins collected 30 years of evidence and he found that after observing, lots of, different animals such as finches, iganas and tortoises, although each was different they were all adapted to the local conditions.Darwins theory took a long time to be accepted becasue he met a lot of opposition from religious believers who wouldn't accept anything other than that God started
