WWI - WHEN THE TSAR WAS STILL IN POWER

Why was the outbreak of war a good thing for the Tsar? List two major reasons. 
It created a sense of unified jubilance between Russia’s otherwise turbulent, diverse ethnicities, as they seemed to converge against a common enemy and pay homage to the Tsar as one Russian people led into a war in which victory seemed almost certain.

What expectations do you think the Russian people had of him at the beginning of the war? Did the Russian people demonstrate this in any way and were these expectations followed?
