Naval Mutinies 1797:

> April and May 1797, Spit head and the Nore was a serious blow to government who were at war with France.

Was it revolutionary?

YES - Corresponding Society members were among the mutineers, some with experience of                   commitee organisation

       - Presence of 11,500 Irish sailors and 4,000 Irish marines was another revolutionary                        ingredient
