ARGUEMENTS FOR AND AGAINST THE ORDINATION OF WOMEN AS PRIESTS

In Christ there is neither male nor female (equality rights).

Because men and women were created in God's Image (Imageo Deo), then we need BOTH men and women to FULLY represent a fully rounded God.

Women held powerful roles as priests in ancient times e.g. the figure of the Mother Goddess was deeply admired for her creative power.

In Great Britain, we've had a female Prime Minister, showing the firm belief of equality rights, therefore why can we not have women priests?

Times have changed since the Bible was written, women are now able to take on key roles in society e.g. doctor, lawyer, teacher e.t.c.

First people to witness the resurrection of Jesus, were women as shown in the New Testament.
