In the USA, the Wall Street Crash had started a long depression which quickly caused economic problems throughout the world.

• Britain suffered high unemployement & low confidence. Therefore they wouldn't help the League with economic sanctions.

• Germany had been borrowing money from the US to help pay reperations, but after the Crash the US had to stop giving out money. As if things couldn't get even worse, France and Britain, who were also suffering, demanded their money. German people didn't have jobs, things were not looking good. This lead to the popularity of…
