The Kidney and Homeostasis

The kidney is an important part in homeostasis - maintaining and controlling the environment in the human body

The kidney performs three main roles:

  • Removal of urea from the blood
  • Adjustment of ions in the blood
  • Adjustment of water content of the blood

The kidneys filter the blood and removes stuff like urea and other waste
