Both Atria Fill With Blood. An Electrical Impulse from the Sino-Atrial Nodecauses atrial contraction. This impulse is stopped by non-conductive band of tissues, so it does not pass into the ventricles. The pressure in the atria rises and Blood is forced through Atrioventricular valves into ventricles.
