The Carbon Cycle shows how much carbon is naturally recycled
- All the carbon on Earth moves in a big cycle - the carbon cycle
- Respiration returns CO2 to the atmosphere as part of the carbon cycle
- Respiration (the process in plants and animals that releases energy and gives out carbon dioxide as waste) in plants and animals
- Respiration is decomposers when plants and animals dies, decomposers (bacteria and fungi) break them down. As they do, they respire and produces CO2
- Burning plants also return carbon dioxide to the atmosphere as part of the carbon cycle
