Love keeps the Plot moving Forward

At the beginning of the novel, the man realises that they must move before winter comes, or they wont survuve. This narrative moves the novel forward, but it is the mans love and desire to protect his son that truly keeps the story going. "The man woke in the woods in the dark and the cold of the night hed reach out to touch the child sleeping beside him." This statement from the beginning shows us h0ow strong the bond is between the two. Later on in the story we see how the mans love for the boy is the only thing that keeps him going and saves him for giving in to death.

Love goes beyond this World

The love shared between the man and the boy runs so deep that it has the ability to persist, even after the father dies. When the man dies he tells his son, "im sorry, you have my whole heart, you always did, youre the best guy, you always were. If im not here you can still talk to me. You can talk to me and ill…
