Germany became a police state:
- Nazis wanted to control people's lives, so they made Hitler's Enabling Act 1933 which allowed them to listen in on phones, home seaches without them noticing and reading mail
- Law for the Reconstruction of the Reich 1934 allowed Nazi control of Local governments
