The Light Dependent Reaction

1. A high energy electron on Photosystem II will become excited (gain energy) & rise to a higher energy level of an electron acceptor.

2. The electon will then loose energy by travelling from one electron acceptor to the next, this is known as the Electron Transfer Chain (ETC).

3. As the elecron is travelling down this ETC it will produce ATP.
