What were the four aims of the league of nations?

  • Stop Agression
  • Improve social conditions in suffering countries.
  • Encourage co-operation between countries,
  • Disarmament of problem countries?

There were 42 members originally in the league but then after a few additions, there were 58 members.

Germany and Russia were not allowed into the League of Nations. Germany because they apparentely caused the war and it was not a victorious country. Russia because it was a communist country and Europe wanted to avoid Europe.

America chose not to be a member becayse the government didn't want to be involved with the entanglements of Europe.
