The Krebbs Cycle

Aerobic respiration

Oxidaises acetyl coenzyme A

Produces

  • CO2
  • ATP
  • Energy containing NADH, H+ and FADH2

It's a cycle/step process

Required O2 termed aerobic cellular respiration

Key Stages

  • Glycolysis
  • Pyrivate is formed
  • Oxidised Pyrivate
  • Acetyl coenzyme A is produced so it can enter the cycle

At the end of the cycle, there are 4 carbon atoms

At the start of the
