The heart
humans have a closed, double circulatory system, meaning the blood passes through the heart twice in one full cycle. This is to maintain a high blood pressure throughout the entire circulatory system.
the right side pumps blood to the lungs
pulmonary= lungs
therefore we can deduct that the pulmonary vein and pulmonary artery are the two connections between the heart and the lungs.
Arteries
Arteries carry blood away from the heart, and with the exception of the pulmonary artery, all of the blood arteries carry is deoxygenated
