The Formation of the League of Nations
One of Woodrow Wilson's fourteen points was the formation of a league comprised of many countries of different affluence that would work together and contribute to future peace in the world.
The League of Nations was formed when the first covenant was signed on the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 but the first meeting was on the 16th of January 1920. The League's headquarters were in Geneva, Switzerland because it was seen as a peaceful country that had not been involved in the war.
