Novice Riders
- horses wil habituate to unnecessary aids
+ horses not so responsive to stimuli making it easier to learn
- horses "loose" their natural instincts - can potentially effect tha back
- heavy sitting and bouncing
- not maintaining the correct position - rider interacts with;

-thoracic vertebrae

-core muscles - rucksack analogy
- can move against the horse's movement- jabbing in the mouth, stiffness in the hips
