the water cycle:

energy from sun evaportates water from land+sea turning it into water vapour

water evaporates from plants-transpiration

warm water vapour rises to then cool and condense into clouds

water falls from clouds as precipitation onto land-fresh water for animals+plants

this water drains into sea and repeat

recycling of elements:

plants turn elements into complex compounds which make living organisms

these get moved up the food chain

materials are returned to environment and waste products or if organisms die/decay
