The Cuban Missile Crisis

.14th October 1962, U-2 spy plane takes photographs of soviet missiles being installed in Cuba, some of the sites would be ready in seven days and 20 Soviet ships were on their way to Cuba.

.Kennedy makes the Executive Committee, a group of politicians and military officers who he deemed capable of amking a decision about Cuba.

.ExCom begin to meet for thirteen days from the 16th and on the 22nd October announce that they are blockading Cuba.

.23rd October, Khruschev sends Kennedy a letter saying th Soviet Union will ignore the Blockade and denying that there were any missiles in Cuba.
