Why was Russia so hard to govern?
- Political : Russia was an autocratic state which many people disagreed with.
- Geography : Russia had a large empire, covering many nations, many people speaking different languages all ruled by one person.
- Social : There was a social hierarchy in Russia, a large divide between the rich and poor.
- Economic : There were lots of people out of work, meaning many people lived in poverty.

- They lived in poverty in the countryside, with no education and only 40 years…
