Assumption - approach suggests everything psychological is biological first and have to look at biological structures to understand behaviour fully e.g genes

Geneticists study if behavioural characteristics inherited same as physical. Twin studies show likelihood that traits have genetic basis by comparing concordance rates between twin pairs.

Genotype = genetic makeup. Phenotype = way genes expressed influenced by environment. Accepted that behaviour depends on interaction between nature/nurture (genes/environment)
