Formation of the Alps:

.Geosyncline- A large depression in which sediment has been deposited into it.

.Anticline- The upfolds of folded rock.

.Sycline- The down folds of folded rock.

.Nappes- When the rock has been severly folded and faulted it forms these.

How people have adapted to living in the Alps:

.Steep relief: Goats are farmed there because they're well adapted to live on steep mountains. Trees and man-made defences are used to protect against Avalanches and rock slides.

.Poor soils: Animals are gazed in the upper-most areas
