1) Natural Fibres

- These can be animal or plant based

- The main animal based fibres are wool and silk.

- Plant based fibres are : Cotton, linen, jute, hemp,

2) Synthetic Fibres

- Man made fibres from oil based products.

- For example Acryilc and Polyamide

- Micro fibrea are fine synthetic fibres, e.g. Polyester and nylon.

3) Regenerated fabrics

- These are made from a combination of chemicals and cellulose waster
